It looks to me like we aren’t fighting the fires as effectively as we could be.

There has to be some ways (like doing more from the air) to make it easier on these guys.

Well said, Kurt. My cousin lives on hillside overlooking Sweetwater Reservior in San Diego and the fire literally came 200ft from their house. The house is standing today, and for that I thank every single firefighter that fought their heart out this week.

Two of my nephews are firemen (1 with LA County and 1 with San Diego). Thank you for today’s blog. I hate the media’s continual attention to the same things, but you did well to remind us of all that others are doing for us.
