He lacks gravitas. That magical quality that makes people stop talking and listen. A serious demeanor. He is too much one of the boys. A coach has to change players' attitudes, create a climate where they will leave their comfort zone and take risks, put the team first. Charisma, whatever you want to call it. Minnesota and young players is the best place for Rambis to start. Remember even West and Magic couldn't coach the Lakers. LA is a tough town. I wish Rambis tons of luck and success, but I never saw him as a future Laker coach.
