Were you looking for another bracket to fill out? If so, you’re in luck!
FB&G has created a group for a March Madness Pick ‘Em contest. All you have to do is go here and enter the password (cake with kwame) and you’re in.
This year, the winner will get a fantastic print of Kobe Bryant from artist Dave Choate (pictured on your right). Basically, this is the best prize we’ve ever given away and FB&G thanks Dave (who can follow on twitter here) for generously offering up the print to our winner. You can also purchase the print, which you may just want to do anyway since *you’re likely not beating me in this challenge.
Anyways, join the challenge and get a chance at winning a great piece of Kobe art to hang on your wall. Maybe it’s just me, but that sounds like a no lose situation (accept for the part where *you all lose to me). So, get to it guys and gals.
*Note: I am awful at picking college games. You actually have a very good chance of beating me.

I probably should not even respond, but… This is not the first time that FB&G has done this March Madness Pick ‘Em contest, it goes back years, if I am not mistaken, and besides I enjoy anything related to basketball.

I don’t see where he says it’s the first time, just says it’s probably the best prize given away, which is always arguable. But the other prizes I remember were shirts, so I’m in agreement here.

It’s not just fans complaining, it’s players. This isn’t a coach or organization trying to “work the refs” via the media; it’s players criticizing the refs, in a tone that implies malfeasance beyond mere incompetence. This despite the knowledge that any such criticism will cost them, personally, a small fortune.
How many players would be criticizing Stern’s refs in these terms, if Stern’s gag order were to be lifted? If players are willing to spend a small fortune just to be able to utter a single comment, then I have to think Stern’s gag order is suppressing what would be a torrent of these kinds of comments. Where there is honest dealing, you don’t need to impose penalties on people for simply speaking their mind.
The NBA: more like the WWE than a lot of us would like to admit.

hey darius: in the event of a tie……
anyone else think dave choate’s rendering of the gre8te one looks a bit like kevin durant? or is it that kevin durant has matured into looking like dave choate’s rendering? or is it that some day kevin durant will be wearing #8 for our los angeles lakers? these are things i think of when not thinking about today’s lakers. wait, this is about today’s lakers.
like it a lot when you go outside the box darius. think everyone will enjoy march madness a little more this time around.
