Sometimes it’s just fun to revel in the potential of one of the young players. Russell’s ice in my veins shooting, Randle beasting and showing an ability to put together counters to pet plays, and, well, Brandon Ingram fully extending with a go-go-gadget dunk over Malcom Brogdon after driving by Giannis Antetokounmpo:

Ingram’s had an up and down rookie year, flashing an all-around game while also struggling as a shooter for most of the year. His numbers in March — 12 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 50% shooting overall — are not eye popping, but are encouraging nonetheless. He’s starting to show a better understanding of how to leverage his length to finish around the rim and more confidence as a pull-up shooter off the dribble or out of the post over smaller defenders.
Plays like the one above may not come every game, but the fact he has this ability in the first place is worth noting. Over time, I do believe he’s going to find a way to put together all the aspects of his game to be a real difference maker. For now, though, I’m just going to play the above dunk on loop for the rest of the day.

I don’t know if we could have had a more perfect year. The young core has grown a lot and all three are showing flashes of All Star potential. Zu is a freaking beast – just imagining him in 3 years. We are able to tank and slide into the #2 slot which should pay off with another great player. Paul George clearly wants to come here this summer or the next. Probably Boogie as well. Jim is gone (too bad about Mitch). Palinka looks like a great fit. All in all – very positive developments for the team as it returns to contention and then DOMINANCE.

Brandon did a nice job of using #13 to as a screen to help keep the Greek Freak from being able to block the shot. I thought Ingram had run out of gas a few games ago. Instead, he is having a strong finish to the year.
