DeMarcus Cousins “Possible” Knee Injury Reportedly an ACL Tear

August 15, 2019 by Darius Soriano

Remember when I told you it was too early to panic about DeMarcus Cousins’ “possible” knee injury because we needed more information? Okay, maybe you can start to panic now. Per Shams Charania of The Athletic, Cousins’ injury is serious:

Los Angeles Lakers center DeMarcus Cousins has suffered a torn ACL in his knee, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

The “further tests” Adrian Wojnarowski reported earlier Thursday are only likely to “confirm” the original belief of the torn ACL, per Charania.

We will provide more analysis after learning of a final diagnosis, but needless to say, this is devastating news for Cousins and quite a blow to the Lakers.
