In this episode of the Laker Film Room Podcast, Pete and I talk about the Lakers win in their preseason opener vs. the Warriors and, more specifically, Anthony Davis’ strong debut.
We open up the pod talking about Davis’ insta-chemistry with LeBron James and our first impressions of Davis’ overall game. We get into some X’s and O’s discussion about ways the coaches partnered LeBron and AD in specific actions to get the most out of them.
After that, we got into a myriad of topics — our impressions of Frank Vogel’s offensive approach, Avery Bradley’s defense, Rondo’s overall game and how many minutes he played, Caruso’s strong second half, and what we’d like to see from the different point guards on the roster as the preseason progresses — including Quinn Cook who did play vs. Golden State on Saturday.
It really was great to finally have some actual basketball to talk about again and I think our enthusiasm was clear in this one. Haha. Give the entire episode a listen below.
