This is just a quick post to update you all on something about my writing and where you can find it and how it impacts Forum Blue and Gold (it won’t!)…
I’ve taken on a role at the Lakers site Silver Screen and Roll to post one article there a week. I’m doing this for a variety of reasons, but a main one is to further promote the work I do and, hopefully, grow the readership of that work both there and here.
That last part is important because I want to make it clear that nothing here at FB&G is going to change. If you’ve been reading this site for some time, you’ll know that my writing has fluctuated some in the past couple of years, mostly due to growing family commitments and some truly unfortunate family health events that led to my father and brother passing away over a 26 month period. I don’t want to dwell on that, but life happens and we all must adjust to new realities when it does…
In saying that, I’ve been trying to write more this season — bringing back more consistent game previews, recaps (one is coming today for that Bulls game!), and general analysis pieces. So, I want to stress, those things will not be changing here at FB&G. My first commitment is always to this place, the site I’ve run for nearly 10 years and written at since FB&G godfather and founder Kurt Helin still ran the show.
Anyways, I wanted you to hear this from me first. And if you want more stuff from me to read, you can check out SS&R once a week and find a piece from me there. My first post is up today, I cover JaVale McGee and his status as the starting center. I hope you’ll read that, just as I hope you’ll check back here later today for my thoughts on the Lakers 6th straight win — a fantastic comeback against the Bulls.
See ya’ll soon.
