In this episode of the Laker Film Room Podcast, Pete and I discuss the Lakers 126-114 win over the Nuggets to take a 1-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals.
We dive into how the Lakers really leveraged their athleticism dominate offensively with shots at the rim and by getting out in transition, how Denver did not seem ready to deal with the Lakers specific brand of physicality, and the major impact that Dwight Howard had on the game — particularly defensively and in his matchup with Nikola Jokic.
In the 2nd half of the pod we also discuss adjustments the Nuggets can make moving forward in the series and try to balance that against some of the issues they’ll continue to face based on how they match up with this specific Lakers team.
