In this episode of the Laker Film Podcast, me, Pete, and Mike discuss the Lakers 109-103 win over the Spurs on Friday, focusing on several areas where the team is showing or can continue to show development in this young season.
We begin talking about Marc Gasol’s involvement offensively, whether upping his usage is the best idea, and how he’s played defensively so far. Then we get into Talen Horton-Tucker’s return to the lineup after being benched in the team’s first game vs. the Spurs and look at the strides he made defensively after his poor showing on that end in the Blazers game.
We close the pod talking about Montrezl Harrell, specifically looking at his defense and whether he’s being miscast as a defensive center in lineups next to Anthony Davis. We look at this from multipie angles, trying to sort through on the variables that contribute his performance on that end and what considerations Vogel might be making when using Harrell the way he is.
