…for Kurt and family. Kurt’s newest addition is on the way. The little Laker fan is coming a little early, but I bet no one is complaining about that. Kurt will try to find time in the next few days to share his playoff preview and…
“…will see if I can get my wife out of the hospital before game time Sunday. With my first we were in the hospital for games 4 and 5 of the 2004 Finals against Detroit. So, obviously, this hospital has bad Laker karma.â€
Taking Charge of Your Own Destiny: I’m sure we all had a little trepidation last night with recent memories of a team that played to the level of its competition. Nice to see them handle their business at home and keep their sometimes fragile confidence high. Kobe was an astounding +34 with Lamar +30. Kwame was a near perfect 7-8. The other fear was finishing with everyone healthy, and with the exception of a bump on Luuuke’s head, that was accomplished as well.
What does the all-time greatest scorer think about KB8’s season?: “I don’t think people appreciate it,” said Abdul-Jabbar, a Laker special assistant coach. “People take him for granted. It’s not something you’re going to see very often in your lifetime.”

Big ups to Sasha — we all know that you can’t win a title without at least two superstars!*

There is a shortage of players who can play good solid defense on the quicker point guards in the league without slowing themselves down offensively. Priority #1 in the offseason should be to find this guy. Tenacious defender, doesn’t require alot of energy to be functional offensively (i.e. good spot up shooter).

Kurt and Mrs. Kurt, congratulations on your baby daughter.
What can I say, true dedication on your part, chatting with Tas and Skeets from the hospital! Way to rep the Lakers.
Tas? had a comment regarding the Lakers 5 game winning streak, they beat the tanking Clippers, lottery teams Warriors and Blazers, then no Nash Suns and wrapped it up with a win against lottery Hornets. Looking at the Lakers record, it seems that the last quality win was a month ago vs the Kings. Does anyone believe they may have put too much value in those wins?
While the Suns, in the last two weeks have had wins over the Kings and Mavs, prior to resting starters.
The Lakers got the wins, but I would have preferred to have seen a quality win in the last month.
