In our latest Laker Film Room Podcast, Pete and I take an early look ahead to the Lakers’ offseason. We discuss the difference scenarios around the Lakers keeping/not keeping their lottery pick, how some of the top prospects fit next to the Lakers’ current young guys, trade scenarios, and more.

Yes it’s an ugly time for us Laker fans,.. but at least the front office family struggles are over.

Indeed. Hard to believe that at one point many considered the FO “silly” and “nonsense”.

Until resolved it was really the only conversation that mattered.

You mean, conversations about the front office I assume?
I never considered them silly or nonsense, though repetitive yes, and more venting than productive, or even interesting I admit.
So obviously, I disagree that they were the only conversations that mattered,.. and take the opposite tact.
        But to each their own,..

Darius: it’s almost time so I’m trying to envision a starting line-up of Lonzo Ball, D’Angelo Russell, Brandon Ingram, Julius Randle and Ivica Zubak for the next three years. I’m also trying to envision a starting line-up of Lonzo Ball, D’Angelo Russell, Paul George, Julius Randle and Ivaca Zubak. Also envisioning a starting line-up of Lonzo Ball, D’Angelo Russell, Paul George, Julius Randle and Demarcus Cousins. A perfect laker world for me would be having Larry Nance Jr, Jordan Clarkson and Ivaca Zubak come off the bench to form a solid 8-man laker rotation for years to come. Have no idea what Magic and Pelinka’s visions are and the consequences of the nba’s collective bargaining agreement; laker ownership’s willingness to circumvent when necessary, but for me, Lonzo Ball is key and a beginning to help turn this all around.
That’s my dream-on story for the day.
Thank you Darius, Pete and was there a Tom in there also?
    Go lakers!

darius: I just want to put this out there. If, and this is a bad if, that green team eastbound three thousand miles, selects Lonzo, it would be a good fit for Lonzo and not good for the rest of the nba for years to come. Wearing green is something the Ball brothers are use to wearing at Chino Hills High School.

Darius: obviously, knucklehead anon at 1:24pm was me. not sure if what the lakers have are the makings of what Oklahoma City had a few years ago with a young nucleus of Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden, so keeping the up and coming Brandon Ingram should be key for the lakers next year.
      Go lakers !
