If you do not follow me on twitter or did not read and click through the links on my game preview from Thursday’s opening night game, you may not be aware of some things that have been going on with me personally. So I thought I’d just post on there here for everyone while also updating you all on the status of the site…
This week my only sibling, my brother, passed away. He was only 44. He’d been battling stage 4 cancer for a little over 18 months after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of the disease in early 2017. Over the last month he’s been receiving in-home and hospice care and in the last few weeks he’d deteriorated steadily and quickly.
This has been an incredibly difficult time for me personally and it has impacted the site. I’ve not written much since early in the preseason and…well…yeah. It is what it is.
I’m mostly writing this post to let everyone know that this will continue to be the case for a little while. There are funeral arrangements to make, family to help manage, and my own emotional and physical health to tend to. And since several people have expressed frustration that I’ve not updated the site, I figured I’d tell them why and that it will continue.
In any event, this is what it is. I’m sorry the site has suffered, but, well, it was unavoidable and you either understand or don’t and either way I can only do what I think is best and right.
I’ll update the site when I can and will try to write more in time. Until then, be well and enjoy the season as best you can.
