Game Preview

The Lakers are fine. It’s weird to have to say that after just 4 games, but with the Lakers sitting at 2-2 and having two pretty lackluster performances (one opening night and the other in Monday’s loss to the Blazers), but I feel like it needs to be said. Fact is, the Lakers have not […]

The Lakers have now won two straight games in impressive fashion — a Christmas Day blasting of the Mavericks and then a thrashing of the Timberwolves on Sunday night. Both W’s were driven by the Lakers offense, with strong outside shooting and multiple players finding ways to have an impact being the general theme both […]

After an opening night loss to the Clippers, the Lakers got back on track with a blowout win over the Mavericks on Christmas. It was the type of offensive showing this team is capable of, casually dropping 138 points on an array of long range shooting, paint attacks, and offensive rebounding to bludgeon them. Tonight, […]

First off, Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone. I hope all of you are staying safe and celebrating as best you can. Second, since it’s Christmas, we all know what that means — the Lakers play today, this time vs. the Mavericks. This is a new matchup for such a marquee game, but one […]

I cannot believe we’re here already. It was only 10 weeks ago the Lakers won the 2019-20 championship when they beat the Heat in Game 6 of the NBA Finals in the Orlando bubble. Now, in about 3.5 hours from when I’m typing this, they’ll begin their defense of that title vs. the Clippers on […]

The Lakers close out their preseason tonight with another game against the Phoenix Suns — the same Suns the Lakers beat on Wednesday when Bron and AD returned to action, Kuz showed up with another strong offensive game, and THT closed out the game as the lead ballhandler by making plays for teammates to get […]

I’m going to be honest here. The dentist just ruined me today (for the 2nd time in 3 days) and the Lakers are less on my mind than the fact that I’ve looked like Harvey Dent for the past several hours. In saying that, the Lakers do play tonight and they face off against a […]

After beating the Clippers 87-81 in their preseason opener on Friday night, the Lakers are back at it against the cross-arena Clips tonight. The storylines are essentially the same, so I’ll save you a bunch of build up here. The main thing to watch for is who plays and who doesn’t. Bron and AD were […]

I’m going to be honest. I’m not quite ready for the season to be here. I’m excited and NBA basketball back in our lives is wonderful, for sure. But, it’s here already? This team just got done winning a championship exactly two months ago today. It’s absolutely wild that they’re about to play again. Yet, […]
