After starting 5-5, the Lakers have dropped their last two games — back to back contests vs. the Celtics and the Wizards. Neither game was particularly close, though the Lakers have continued to find ways to be competitive for stretches. Luke Walton noted after the Wizards game that he was proud of the physical effort, […]

Lakers Game Preview: The Washington Wizards
After losing to the Celtics 107-96 in the first game of a four game road trip, the Lakers don’t have much time to collect themselves with a trip to the nation’s capital today for a matchup with the Wizards.
Lakers Game Preview: The Boston Celtics
The Lakers are 5-5 after beating the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday night. That win continued a trend of an offense on the upswing and a defense which has remained surprisingly stout.
Lakers Game Preview: The Memphis Grizzlies
The Lakers are coming off a good win against the Brooklyn Nets, a contest that brought them only a game below .500 behind some strong performances by Brook Lopez, Brandon Ingram, and Kyle Kuzma. The Lakers new look front court scored, rebounded, and defended well as a trio and really set the tone for the […]
Lakers Game Preview: The Brooklyn Nets
The Lakers are coming off an encouraging loss — though a 113-110 loss nonetheless — against the Trailblazers in Portland Thursday night. A game that saw the Lakers battle back from a huge deficit and take the lead, only to have Damian Lillard crush their hopes with a last second game winner. I’ll take this effort online […]
Lakers Game Preview: The Portland Trail Blazers
The Trail Blazers (4-4) face the Lakers (3-4) in Portland tonight after a tough overtime loss to future Hall of Famer Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz 112 to 103. The Lakers, meanwhile, are coming off a great team win against the Pistons. Tonight the Blazers will look to extend their streak of 12 wins […]

Since it’s not the Cavs, maybe the Wizards? Uh-uh. The Raptors? Nah. At a 5-2 record, the team with the best record […]
Game Preview: Lakers @ Utah Jazz
The Los Angeles Lakers (2-3) hit the road today, visiting the Utah Jazz (2-3) in a Battle Royale for 9th place in the Western Conference. Both teams are coming off tough losses, the Lakers in a close contest with the Raptors and the Jazz with a dispiriting loss to the Suns. This was right after […]
Lakers Game Preview: Lakers vs Raptors
Tonight the Lakers (2-2) face the Toronto Raptors (2-2) and it feels like we just played this game. That is, it would have been the same game if not for the Lakers becoming a defensive juggernaut! The Raptors are coming off a tough loss to the Warriors and are in the mood to get back […]
Lakers Game Preview: The Washington Wizards
The surging Washington Wizards (3-0) are in town to face the Lakers (let’s not count) tonight. It is trite to talk about there being no easy nights for rookies in this league, but this will be an extraordinarily tough night for the Laker guards. Recent data would agree. John Wall and Bradley Beal make up […]
