[picappgallerysingle id=”8756663″] Maybe this result was destined from the beginning. Missing their veteran big man that could stretch the floor for the entire series and their lanky forward that could match the Lakers’ length for two of the four games (and limited in the ones that he did play in), the Jazz were out manned […]

Lakers/Jazz Game 3: Instant Classic
[picappgallerysingle id=”8743126″] Wow. Wow. Wow. It’s pretty rare that fans get treated to a game like this. It seemingly had it all. Shot making duels. Unlikely players stepping up. Multiple lead changes in the closing minutes. Crunch time heroics. And there was even a last second play that decided the outcome. Honestly, this is one […]
Lakers/Jazz Game 2: Lakers Control The Paint, The Game, And Now The Series
[picappgallerysingle id=”8648029″] If it wasn’t clear before the series started, it is now – the Lakers are just a better team than the Jazz. The advantages in size, length, and quickness in the front court and the presence of a rejuvenated Kobe Bryant in the back court once again proved too much for Utah to […]
Lakers/Jazz Game 1: I Feel Like I’ve Seen This Before
[picappgallerysingle id=”8684071″] In a game that was easier than the final score indicates but more difficult than it probably should have been, the Lakers defeated the Jazz 104-99 to earn that all important game 1 win to go up one game to zero in this western conference semi-final. As a result, the Lakers now get […]
Lakers/Thunder Game 6: Pau’s Put Back Propels Lakers
As the title of this post implies (and the video above shows), Pau Gasol got to play hero in this game. With the Lakers trailing by one point and with possession of the ball, Kobe Bryant was isolated on the extended right wing. Every other Laker was cleared to the left side of the floor […]
Lakers/Thunder: The Performance We’ve Been Looking For
[picappgallerysingle id=”8647398″] In the recap to game 4, I said that the loss by the Lakers could only be described as a first class butt kicking. Lakers/Thunder Game 4: Lakers Come Out Flat, End Up Flattened
[picappgallerysingle id=”8619122″] In what can only be described as a first class butt kicking, the Lakers fell to the Thunder 110-89 in game 4. OKC out-hustled, out-muscled…really out-everything’d the Lakers in this game. So instead of attempting to pen some exquisite recap of the carnage, I think I’ll just relay some simple numbers from this […]
Lakers/Thunder Game 3: These Thunder Just Don’t Quit
[picappgallerysingle id=”8603522″] Coming into this game I thought the Lakers would have a very good chance to win. I thought that if they showed poise in the face of a raucous crowd and displayed enough discipline to exploit their advantages that they’d be in this game until the end and could earn the ‘W’. Well, […]
Lakers/Thunder Game 2: Lakers Show Will, Earn Victory
[picappgallerysingle id=”8590378″] Holding on by a thread is still holding on. And after being able to hold on just long enough, the Lakers now find themselves up 2-0 after beating the Thunder 95-92 on Tuesday night. Just like game 1, this second contest of the series wasn’t always pretty (in fact, the majority of this […]
