Laker History: Just saw that NBA TV will be airing “Searching for Redemption, The Kermit Washington Story” Sunday at 6pm. If you haven’t read John Feinstein’s “The Punch: One Night, Two Lives, and the Fight That Changed Basketball Forever “, you should. Kermit is an extremely interesting and flawed character. He was the first guy […]

The D-League Is Coming To Town
They do it in Long Beach all the time, but it never really works — minor league sports trying to thrive under the radar of Los Angeles and its established major league teams. They all try to sell the advantages — it’s less expensive and the setting more intimate — but minor league sports (from […]
Wow!
I caught this game on a snowy television in a crappy little Long Beach club where a friend’s band was playing (I’ll watch the Tivo later), but my night reminded me what this team means to the city. Early on the people and friends around me were of the same mind: I don’t follow the […]
Prime Ticket returns
Prime Ticket, the cable station that was once home to the champion Laker teams as well as the Dodgers and Kings for so many years will be back in April. Technically, it’s still FSN2, but they are rebranding it as Prime Ticket after some consumer studies that showed people remember Prime Ticket fondly and the […]
Kobe Suspended
Kobe’s retaliation flagrant foul on Mike Miller in the Memphis game has earned him a two game suspension from the NBA League office. Kobe will not play in either game against the Jazz, Sunday or Tuesday. According to ESPN, the suspension will cost him a little more than I made this year $289,943 😉 Well, […]
Minor Start
We know two things: 1) The Lakers are going to send a couple of players down to the D-League to start the season; 2) there are six players on the Laker roster now who qualify (in their first two years in the league). So, who gets sent down? Tony Bobbit? Andrew Bynum? Devin Green? Adam […]
Honolulu or Rome
Tonight’s the first Laker preseason game is against Golden State from Hawaii and at 10 p.m. (Pacific) and you can bet I’ll be in front of the television — either watching the game or my Tivo’d Rome from Sunday. See, the first three Laker preseason games are not being broadcast here in Southern California because […]
Thoughts On The First Day Of Camp
It didn’t take advanced statistics — or half a brain, for that matter — to see that the Lakers biggest problem last year was defense. Which is why the first notes I’m reading out of training camp in Hawaii make me smile. Chris Mihm told ESPN that two-third of the early practices focused on defense, […]
Some Reading
Just want to point you in the direction of a couple things this morning. First is the latest from Eric Pincus at Hoopsworld looking at who the Lakers are looking at online pharmacy augmentin buy with best prices today in the USA to fill in their roster with a little depth. The pickings are slim. […]
Sprewell A Laker?
They give no source (which should be a hint this is crap), but the St. Paul Pioneer Press online pharmacy purchase rogaine without prescription with best prices today in the USA is reporting Latrell Sprewell may be a Laker soon. Because of the (obvious) work needed on this blog today I’m not going to get […]
